If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel and you are registered at the surgery you need to contact the practice and ask the receptionist to book you a travel telephone consultation with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. We will need to ask you a couple of questions before booking your appointment This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
To avoid disappointment, it is important to contact us as early as possible, at least 6-8 weeks before you travel as travel appointments are very limited and you may need a second appointment to actually receive the full course of vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Please be aware we do not provide travel vaccine for Rabies, Hepatitis or Yellow Fever and these would need to be provided privately either at a travel clinic or a pharmacy.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the link
Please note we are no longer registered as a yellow fever centre please google nathnac for list of designated centres
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS. Please note we are not a yellow fever centre and cannot offer this vaccine.
Not all vaccinations are free of charge such as:
Hep B for travel per dose
Please note we only accept payment by card before vaccinations are administered
We do not offer a private vaccination service
