If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel and you are registered at the surgery you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. We will need a travel questionnaire to be completed and returned to the surgery before your booked appointment. (Please click on the link at the bottom of this page). This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
To avoid disappointment, it is important to make the initial appointment as early as possible, at least 6-8 weeks before you travel as travel appointments are very limited and you may need a second appointment to actually receive the full course of vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the link
Please note we are no longer registered as a yellow fever centre please google nathnac for list of designated centres
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS. Please note we are not a yellow fever centre and cannot offer this vaccine.
